Shop Tech Score is an independent review site for auto repair shop software. We keep data collection to the minimum a website needs to function, and this page explains exactly what that means.
What we collect
You can read everything on this site without an account, and we do not ask you to create one. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider and Cloudflare (our security and delivery network) keep standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use that information only to keep the site fast, secure, and working.
If you email us through the contact page, we receive what you send: your email address and your message. We use it to reply, and for nothing else.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal information. We run no advertising networks. We do not set tracking cookies to follow you around the internet, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.
Cookies
Reading this site does not require cookies. Our caching system may set a small technical cookie to serve pages faster, and Cloudflare may set a security cookie to tell humans from bots. Neither identifies you personally.
Third-party services
Three services help run this site: our hosting provider (where the site lives), Cloudflare (security and speed), and our email provider (when you write to us). Each processes only the technical data needed to do its job. When we link to a software vendor’s site, their privacy practices are their own; check their policy before handing over information.
Your choices and rights
If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask through the contact page and we will remove it. If your local law gives you rights over personal data (such as access or deletion), the same address is how you exercise them. We keep so little that most requests are quick.
Changes to this policy
If how the site handles data ever changes, this page changes first, with the update reflected in the date below. Material changes will be called out plainly, not buried.
