What the comparison shows
Every platform is scored on the same five factors: ease of use, features, pricing value, support, and auto-repair-specific fit. The tool lines those scores up for the systems you pick, alongside each vendor's current starting price and the shop types each platform serves best. Prices come from the vendors' own pricing pages, checked by our editors, so a lower sticker built on an annual contract does not masquerade as the cheaper option.
For decisions between the big names, we also write full head-to-head breakdowns with feature tables and a called winner; find them in comparisons. For the whole market on one page, use the comparison chart.
Common questions
Can I link someone to a specific matchup?
Yes. The page address updates as you pick platforms, so copying the URL from your browser shares the exact comparison you built.
Why do two platforms show the same score with different verdicts?
The overall score is a weighted average, so two systems can tie while excelling at different things. Read the factor rows: a 9.6 on auto-repair fit with a 7.0 on ease of use is a very different tool from the reverse.
Where do the prices come from?
From each vendor's own pricing page, verified by our editors and dated in our records. Third-party listings often carry old prices, so we do not use them.
